Miami Tax Preparation FAQs

How much does tax preparation cost in Miami?
Individual Form 1040 returns start at $300. Small business returns (S-Corp 1120-S, partnership 1065, or Schedule C) start at $800. Multi-state returns are $150 per additional state. Every engagement is flat-fee and confirmed before work begins.
Do you prepare S-Corp and partnership returns?
Yes. We prepare Form 1120-S for S-Corporations, Form 1065 for partnerships and multi-member LLCs, and Schedule C for sole proprietors and single-member LLCs. Every return includes K-1 generation, QBI deduction (Section 199A) optimization, and Section 179 depreciation analysis.
Can I file an S-Corp election to reduce self-employment tax?
In many cases, yes. An S-Corp election can save $5,000 to $20,000 or more per year in self-employment tax for profitable sole proprietors and single-member LLCs. We review S-Corp suitability as part of our 27-point planning assessment included with every return, and we handle the Form 2553 election filing.
Do you handle multi-state tax returns for remote workers?
Yes. We prepare state returns for remote workers, multi-state businesses, and clients with income in multiple jurisdictions. Preparation includes nexus analysis, pass-through entity tax (PTET) election review, SALT cap optimization, and state credit coordination.
Can I upload my tax documents from my phone?
Yes. Our secure client portal accepts document uploads from any device. You can snap photos of W-2s, 1099s, and other documents directly from your phone, or drag and drop files from a computer.
What is the QBI deduction and how do I qualify?
The Qualified Business Income (QBI) deduction under Section 199A lets eligible self-employed individuals and pass-through business owners deduct a portion of their qualified business income. Qualification depends on income level, business type, W-2 wages paid, and qualified property held. We analyze QBI eligibility and optimization on every small business return.
Do you work with clients who have foreign bank accounts?
Yes. International reporting is a specialty of the firm. If you have foreign bank accounts, investments, or business interests abroad, we identify reporting requirements such as FBAR and FATCA that many preparers miss. Cross-border analysis is included at no extra charge for tax preparation clients.
